DECEMBER

A December to Remember

A flurry of family fun activities takes place all month long at the festive oceanfront Bandshell! Enjoy visits by Santa, a holiday craft village and holiday sand trail, pet weekend, tribute bands and more!

Hot Spots for Holiday Lights

Here are some brilliantly-lit locations to help you enjoy a holiday drive. Area newspapers typically publish a list of festive homes that are off-the-beaten-path as well.

A1A, Ocean Center

The Ocean Center, Florida’s fourth largest convention center, decks its welcome area with holiday lights that are mirror reflected from its façade. Just steps from the beach, it’s a fun-filled spot for the annual tree lighting ceremony, too.

Beach Street, Daytona Beach

The Riverfront Shops of Daytona Beach are known for festive, offbeat storefronts and the annual crèche art exhibit.

Champions Drive, Ormond Beach

Driving to Malcolm’s Bar and Grill at LPGA International at night is especially dreamy with all the white lights along tree-lined Champions Drive.

Granada Boulevard Bridge, Ormond Beach

Enjoy driving across this festively-lit bridge punctuated on either side in the Halifax River with floating cobalt blue trees. Or, consider parking on either side at Bailey Riverbridge Gardens or Cassen Park on the mainland or Fortunato Park on beachside and stroll the promenade.

South Peninsula Drive, Ponce Inlet

Of course, no special decorations are needed for Florida’s tallest lighthouse. The Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse shines brightly all year by day and night. To get there drive through Wilbur-by-the-Sea and soak in all the local charm.

International Speedway Boulevard, Daytona Beach

Built in 1926, the coquina Tarragona Tower is a marvel by day and takes on an extra special air at night during the holidays.

US 1, Holly Hill

Like grandparents who go the extra mile for their grandchildren, the Twi-Light II Motel in Holly Hill goes all out with its holiday lights. Not one spec of green grass is without some sort of colorful embellishment. Visitors are encouraged to drive through the spectacle slowly to take it all in.

Riverfront Holiday Dazzle

Downtown Daytona Beach’s Riverfront Shops of Daytona Beach boasts more than 60 shops, restaurants, attractions and services, plus our exceptional Farmers’ Market—all in a splendid waterfront setting. Head to the historic Beach Street retail area located between Bay Street and Orange Avenue to spend a delightful day enjoying new flavors, treasures, experiences and events. We have been surprising visitors and locals alike since 1870.

New Year's Eve at Daytona Beach Bandshell

Kick off the New Year at the Daytona Beach Bandshell! Enjoy the festive oceanfront scene with R /C Cars; inflatables; a pet parade and fashion show; food, arts and craft vendors and top it all off at 8 p.m. with a Kid Rock Tribute Band.
