Art League of Daytona Beach

Visitors to the Art League will experience changing monthly exhibits, workshops, exhibitions and an art video library. Check the website's calendar for "Sundays with the Artists," a series of free programs that feature local and regional artists demonstrating their techniques or lecturing on a variety of subjects.


Halifax Historical Museum

Explore the Daytona Beach area's rich and colorful history located in the 1910 Merchants Bank Building on historic Beach Street. Enjoy exploring through permanent exhibits and new exhibits!


Airboat & Gator Charters

Sit back, relax, and let Captain Joshua introduce you to the real Florida. Observe plenty of wildlife such as alligators, wild hogs, deer and many species of birds. Florida's natural landscapes include cypress swamps, Spanish moss covered oaks, lily covered marsh, and the dark waters of the St. Johns River.


Dunlawton Sugar Mill Gardens

Enjoy these English sugar mill ruins surrounded by lush botanical gardens, native trees, a butterfly garden and collections of bromeliads, ginger and cacti. A rare human sundial allows visitors to stand next to the current month's tablet and with arms raised, the shadow will point to the time. The gardens feature the ruins of a 19th century sugar factory which contains the most complete sugar grinding machines in the country.


Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory Tour

Shops, Angell & Phelps Chocolates has been a Daytona Beach tradition since 1925. Take a free, guided, 30-minute tour through the chocolate-making process. Tours begin at 10 and 11 a.m., and 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. each Monday through Saturday.


The Casements

Formerly the winter home of multi-millionaire John D. Rockefeller, The Casements now serves as the City of Ormond Beach's cultural center and museum containing art and historical exhibits. Free tours of the Rockefeller period rooms and other exhibits are offered 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 10 -11:30 a.m., Saturday.


Mary McLeod Bethune Foundation Home & Gravesite

Bethune-Cookman University is one of the richest resources of African-American historical and cultural exhibits in Florida. Bethune's home, located on the university's campus, serves as the headquarters of the Mary McLeod Bethune Foundation. Free, guided tours are available by appointment.


North Peninsula State Recreation Area

This 900-acre park offers over two miles of sandy beaches for recreational use. The area, which is open daily with free admission, features palmetto dunes and sea turtles, as well as some of the best surf fishing in the area.


Ormond Bicentennial Park

Ormond Beach

This park stretches from the Atlantic Ocean to the Halifax River and covers five ecological systems. It features tennis and racquetball courts, a softball field, a fishing pier, an exercise trail, and picnicking facilities. Admission is free, and the park is open daily from sunrise to sunset.


Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens

This museum showcases paintings, drawings, video, mixed media, photography and three-dimensional works of art. Adjacent to the museum are lush tropical gardens that offer a beautiful setting complete with gazebo and nature trails, fish ponds and fountains. Open daily, dawn to dusk. Admission is free, but a $2 donation is requested for each visitor, with the exception of seniors (60 and older) and children.


Southeast Museum of Photography

The Southeast Museum of Photography is one of only 12 specialized museums of its kind in the United States, and one of fewer than 30 throughout the world. The museum is Florida's official museum of photography.


Daytona Escape Room

Experience The Daytona Escape room experience is the first real-life escape game in Daytona. It is a uniquely fun, team building, brain testing experience! Each room is filled with a series of locks, clues and puzzle solving for your group. Players will be locked in a themed room and have 60 minutes to escape. It's all about being observant and thinking outside the box while working as a team.


Lighthouse Point Park

Lighthouse Point Park is located at the southern tip of Ponce Inlet. The natural beauty of the undisturbed land has been preserved for all to enjoy. Dolphins frequent the shoreline, gopher tortoises can be found in sandy areas, and other wildlife can be observed. The 52-acre park features fishing, nature trails, an observation deck and tower, swimming and pavilions.
